Mr. Morrison was born and raised in Conroe, Texas and graduated from St. Thomas High School in Houston in 2001. He attended the University of Notre Dame and graduated in May 2005 with a B.A. in Theology and Computer Applications. Mr. Morrison graduated from South Texas College of Law with honors in May 2011. While attending South Texas, he was an Articles Editor on the South Texas Law Review. He was admitted to practice law in Texas in November 2011.
During law school, Mr. Morrison was an intern with the First Court of Appeals of Texas after his first year and a law clerk for the Office of the Attorney General of Texas Child Support Division after his second year. After graduating from South Texas College of Law, he worked at Jones McClure Publishing, a Houston-based company that publishes the O’Connor’s legal series for Texas attorneys. He joined the firm in January of 2012 to work on Ex Parte Swearingen, a capital murder case. Mr. Morrison is an associate in the criminal law section and works exclusively with criminal clients assisting Mr. Jackson with day to day operations.
